Sometimes guest's just get it, and then they record it brilliantly.

The wonderful stayed with us a few years ago, but I wanted to repost this video again as it shows so well what a short stay in Bethnal truly looks like.

Food, bubbles, outdoor baths, best friends dancing to vinyl, sunsets, TV in bed - just a perfect stay.

But what else is waiting for you at no charge?

Well obviously we don't need to mention things like waffle robes, slippers, toiletries, bubble bath etc. They are to be expected in any quality establishment 🤣.

How about the ingredients for your first morning's cooked English breakfast at no charge. Unlimited cereals and granola for every morning. Every manor of tea bag you can imagine, earl grey, camomile, fruit, English breakfast. Ground and instant coffee, milk (cow, almond or oat) sugar and sweeteners.

And if you like to cook then no need to pack those annoying bits and pieces. Olive oil which I'm sure now costs more than gold per kg is included, plus soy sauce, herbs, spices, salt and pepper etc. Tomato ketchup, mayo and mustard sauce can be found in the fridge - but bring your own HP 🤣.

And if you end up just needing something more substantial, then in the cupboards you'll find pasta, including a gluten free option.

Now if you feel like splashing the cash then the honesty pantry is your friend from frozen organic ready meals, orange and apple juice, local chocolate, sweets, Ben&Jerry ice creams, hash browns, chips, pringles, locally made beers, ciders, cocktails and English w**e and fizz.....pheww, that's quite a list and I'm sure I've forgotten more.

You can also pre-order steaks, bbq and make your own pizza.

So basically, just bring yourself❤️

Private secure gardens, dog exercise field and miles of footpaths to explore for them.

Luxury treats such as a giant outdoor deep soaking Japanese jacuzzi bath, bedroom cinema and a vinyl record collection for you.

Just because we are dog friendly doesn't mean you need to compromise.

Autumn and winter may just be the best time for a stay at Bethnal&Bec.

Whether it is watching movies in your own 'Bedroom Cinema' in front of a roaring fire, soaking in a hot steamy bubbly outdoor bath or a crisp morning dog walk in the 2 acre paddock.

We all crave and deserve a bit of this when the nights are longer and the temperatures a bit chillier.

There are a handful of weekend stays still available for 2026 and some good value midweek nights for that quick escape.

Bethnal&Bec are 3 very luxurious dog friendly spa cabins on the edge of a gorgeous village in Hertfordshire perfect for a couple or solo traveller, awarded "Best Self Catering Accommodation in the Visit England Awards for the East of England and Top 3 finalist in the entire country. Close to wonderful Cambridge and easy access to London. They have amazing massive outdoor deep soaking Japanese whirlpool tub (no nasty chemicals), Indoor and outdoor fires, vinyl record player and the coolest eclectic record collection. Fully stocked honesty pantry, including amazing frozen meals. Dog friendly (up to 4 small or 3 larger dogs)with private garden and 1 acre exercise field. Badminton court, pizza oven, countryside views, pub in walking distance. EV charger and Top of the range Electric mountain bikes.

Running any business is tough. Running a hospitality business is very tough. Running a hospitality business on your own is really bloody very tough.

You get the jist?

Luckily my children are always on hand to help out if needed, and it makes a world of difference and makes Bethnal&Bec a true family business. The 3 spa cabins are built from the old dilapidated stables in our home. The children, now 14, 18 & 21 have grown up in the 11 years since the idea was first hatched.

For example Felix, has just returned from a summer in the USA working as a camp counsellor, still horrendously jet-lagged and with amazing A-Levels including 2 A*'s in Biology and Chemistry.... yet he thinks nothing of helping me for 5 hours do all the turnovers. Headphones on, singing his little heart out.... and what a voice. Seriously, he has gigged previously, and is available for weddings, Christmas work parties, pubs etc.

What's my point I hear you scream out🤣
... I'm not sure there is one, but just wanted to shout out my team, who are my kids, who are my family. They are bloody ace, and help make Bethnal&Bec an amazing place for so many guests.
