Another busy week for B.Cooke Plumbing & Heating across Hassocks, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath! 🔥

This week has included an unvented hot water cylinder upgrade, a boiler replacement and three powerflushes—helping get our customers’ heating and hot water ready for the colder months.

🟠 Unvented cylinder upgrade
A new mains-pressure hot water setup, with neatly installed copper pipework and thought given to access for future maintenance. A good installation starts with understanding the household’s hot water needs and getting the details right.

🟠 Boiler replacement
Out with the old and in with a new Vaillant boiler, keeping everything in the existing cupboard. Updated pipework and a magnetic filter help complete the installation and protect the new boiler from circulating heating system debris.

🟠 Three heating system powerflushes
Clearing built-up sludge and debris from radiators and pipework to help improve circulation. A cleaner system can help radiators heat more evenly and reduce the strain caused by restricted flow—especially as the heating starts going back on.

We take pride in the work behind every installation, from tidy pipework to making systems easier to maintain in the years ahead.

🏠 Hurstpierpoint – First Fix Complete

Another big stage completed on our Hurstpierpoint project, with the first fix now finished and the plumbing and heating system installed throughout in copper.

A lot of thought and planning has gone into this installation to make sure the system is designed around the property’s heating and hot water needs, while also making future servicing and maintenance as straightforward as possible.

The system has been designed with four independently controlled zones:

🔥 Main heating
💧 Hot water
♨️ Towel rail circuit
🌡️ Underfloor heating

We’ve also installed a water manifold system, allowing each bathroom to be individually isolated when required. This means future maintenance can be carried out without unnecessarily shutting off the water supply to the rest of the property.

We’re always striving to keep our standards as high as possible — even when most of this pipework will eventually be hidden away. Neat, well thought out and built with the future in mind.

👏 Great effort from everyone this week, especially Sean & James. A lot of work has gone into getting this stage completed and keeping the standard exactly where we want it.

We’ve been out across Mid Sussex this week keeping plenty of heating and plumbing jobs moving.

🏠 Haywards Heath – Out with the old Alpha and in with a new Vaillant combi boiler, installed neatly back into the existing cupboard with the system upgraded and ready for the years ahead. Install completed by our Engineer Sean

🔧 Burgess Hill & Hassocks – A number of boiler breakdowns, fault finding and heating repairs, getting customers’ heating and hot water back up and running.

💧 Hurstpierpoint – We’ve also made a start on a large full-house re-plumb, replacing and upgrading the plumbing throughout the property. Plenty more to come from this project as it progresses.
