Burnham-on-Crouch Carnival returns on Saturday 26 September, bringing a full day of activity to the heart of the town.

Expect stalls, music and entertainment during the day, fairground attractions throughout the carnival weekend, and the illuminated carnival procession from 7.30pm.

It’s one of those long-standing local events that brings Burnham together — and another good reason to get out and enjoy what’s happening close to home.

Our lovely residents are hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the beautiful Community Hub, and you’re invited! Yes you! Everybody is invited. Come along to Burnham Waters for a cuppa, something delicious and lots of friendly chat, while helping raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Maldon Festival is back this September with more than two weeks of art, music, heritage and live performance across the town – and its just 20 minutes away from Burnham Waters!

Running from 11–26 September, this year’s programme includes the Maldon Art Trail, live music and performances at Promenade Park, classical concerts and plenty more happening in venues around Maldon.

Just a short trip from Burnham Waters, Maldon’s historic waterfront comes alive for the Maldon Town Regatta on Saturday 12 September.

Dating back to 1895, the Regatta celebrates the town’s long connection with the River Blackwater, with a Parade of Sail, the ever-popular Duck Race, shanty singers, live music and entertainment around Hythe Quay.

It’s a great excuse to spend a day by the water, explore Maldon and enjoy one of the area’s longest-standing local traditions.

One of the questions we’re often asked is whether homes at Burnham Waters are freehold or leasehold.

The answer is simple and we're very happy to say: every bungalow is freehold.

We wanted to avoid some of the tenure concerns traditionally associated with retirement property and give homeowners the reassurance of owning their home and plot outright.
