That could put homes around the Β£300k mark back into consideration for some buyers.

And in a market where saving the deposit is often the biggest hurdle, this is genuinely welcome news.

Not for everyone, and affordability checks still apply, but for first-time buyers who have felt stuck, this could be a proper door-opener.

And only ONE applicant needs to be a first-time buyer!
