WHEN THE SUNSHINE SHOWS OFF THE FINISHโ€ฆ โ˜€๏ธโœจ

A first look at the progress over at Echo Street โ€” and we couldnโ€™t have asked for better weather to capture it!

Working in collaboration with Bowmer + Kirkland, our team has been delivering the balustrade package across this fantastic development, and weโ€™re starting with a look at the courtyard areas.

The frameless glass is looking incredibly sharp in the sunshine, creating a clean, contemporary finish while allowing the character of the surrounding brickwork and railway arches to remain firmly in view. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Itโ€™s always rewarding to see our systems once the wider space starts coming together โ€” especially on a project where the modern detailing sits alongside such a distinctive existing backdrop.

At SMART Balustrades, we believe a Juliet balcony should do more than provide safety, it should maximise the view.

For our Fern Lodge Drive project in Ashton-under-Lyne, we're delighted to be supplying and installing our SMART Vetro Juliette structural frameless glass balustrade system to the external Juliet balconies.

Featuring sleek, minimal glass with no intrusive posts, this system allows natural light to flood the property while creating uninterrupted views from within.

Designed with both aesthetics and performance in mind, the installation will complement the modern architectural style of the development while meeting the required 0.74kN loading specification.

A few months ago, we shared a behind-the-scenes look at our site survey for this exciting development at Mercia Marina, Willington, Derby. Fast forward to today and it's fantastic to see just how much progress has been made.

Working alongside Davlyn Construction, we're proud to be supplying and installing a range of our bespoke SMART Structural Glass Balustrade Systems across this stunning waterfront development. As the building envelope nears completion, the sleek frameless glass is already enhancing the architecture, creating uninterrupted views while complementing the contemporary design of the apartments.

Seeing these installations come together is a great reminder of how quickly a project evolves. What was once a structural shell has now become an elegant residential development where the architectural vision is really beginning to shine.

But we're not finished yet...

Our team is now progressing onto the internal staircase balustrades, meaning there is still plenty more to come before this project reaches completion. We can't wait to share further installation updates and of course, the finished result. A huge thank you to Davlyn Construction for the opportunity to be involved in what is undoubtedly one of our most exciting projects to date.

On 3rd July, we proudly celebrated 9 years of SMART Balustrades!

To mark the occasion, the whole team came together to enjoy some well-deserved food, cakes and a chance to celebrate everything we've achieved over the past nine years.

Since 2017, we've grown from strength to strength, delivering specialist balustrade and handrail solutions on projects across the UK and, more recently, Ireland. From schools, hospitals and residential developments to commercial buildings, hotels and airports, we're incredibly proud of the relationships we've built and the projects we've helped bring to life.

None of this would have been possible without our fantastic team. Their hard work, dedication and commitment continue to drive SMART Balustrades forward every single day. We'd also like to say a huge thank you to our clients, contractors, architects, suppliers and everyone who has supported us throughout our journey.

SMART Balustrades Heads to Dublin! ๐Ÿ€

Our Directors are officially on site in Dublin for the next 72 hours, meeting with clients, visiting a brand new project and continuing to strengthen relationships as we expand our presence beyond the UK.

This visit marks an exciting milestone for our business as we deliver our very first project in Ireland.

Working alongside Grove Developments, we're proud to be supplying and installing our balustrade and handrail systems for the new T2 Hotel at Dublin Airportโ€”a fantastic development that represents another step forward in our continued growth.

Over recent years, SMART Balustrades has built a strong reputation across the UK, and it's exciting to see our expertise now supporting projects further afield. From schemes in Guernsey and Jersey, to now expanding into Ireland, we're continuing to take our specialist design, manufacture and installation services to new locations.
