Busy few weeks for us as we are completing the brickwork on a barn conversion in Affetside. We have been preparing the ground floor ready for steels and the beam and block floor to go in so we can continue building up to wall plate, this will be conpleted on Monday with a site clean up.

We have knocked down an old wall which began to lean outwards. We have built a brand new wall with concrete block and a band course of engineering bricks. A DPC course has been built in the wall to stop water tracking up to eradicate any water damage or staining to the render which is due to go on soon. Wall will be finished off with copings which feature a drip groove underneath them to further protect the white rendered finish.

We’ve been working on a small porch which has cracked and slipped due to the poor construction. The reformed porch had to be taken down and built from scratch. We’ve put a new solid concrete footing in, built up a new perimeter wall and transformed the porch with a fresh, new look. Tiles to be fitted on Friday to finish the job.

Tottington Job - a very large scale job with lots of extra work required. However Tottington I am pleased to say is ready for the next phase. Once the scaffold is dropped we can then complete the final part of the job, which is the canopy over the porch and garage doors.

A high standard of work has been completed here which leaves an excellent finish.
