Our Director only went and did it!

If you’ve been following Laura’s National Three Peaks Challenge, we’re incredibly proud to say…

SHE DID IT!

Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon completed in 25 hours and 17 minutes, in weather her guide described as some of the worst they’ve had on the challenge all season.

The final numbers are pretty incredible:

55,738 steps
25.17 miles
676 flights climbed
3 mountains

And most importantly, an incredible £1,433 raised for Prostate Cancer UK.

Laura took on the challenge after losing her dear friend Steven to prostate cancer at just 44 years old, making every wet, windy and exhausting step mean that little bit more.

From running Muse Escapes to climbing three of the UK’s highest mountains in 25 hours, she certainly doesn’t do things by halves!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared her fundraising page and sent messages of support. And a special thank you to James, who has supported Laura through all the training and another one of her slightly mad ideas!

From all of us at Muse Escapes, congratulations Laura. We’re incredibly proud of you.

Heather season has arrived in the Peak District, and this is your sign to get your walking boots on.

These were taken in Edale yesterday, and honestly, the hills are looking incredible.

For a few weeks each year, the moors change completely. The landscape turns shades of purple and pink, mixed with those huge Peak District views, blue skies and miles of open countryside.

It’s one of my favourite times of year to get out walking.

😂 Well… that’s one way to get people’s attention!

It looks like our episode of Four in a Bed is doing the rounds again after being repeated on TV.

Seeing headlines like this always makes us smile because, as any small business owner knows, the headline rarely tells the whole story!

Taking part in Four in a Bed was one of the biggest things we’ve ever done for Muse Escapes. It pushed us well outside our comfort zone, put us in front of millions of viewers and gave us memories we’ll never forget.

Would we do it again?

Absolutely. In a heartbeat.

Not because it was easy, because it definitely wasn’t, but because every challenge taught us something. It gave us exposure we could never have bought, introduced us to amazing people and gave us a story we’ll be telling for years.
