That is what I’m seeing in the housing market at the moment – and not just in Camberley.

Lots of homes listed for sale are sticking.

While it’s true to say that there are fewer active buyers around, the biggest reason why homes are not selling is the one-size-fits-all approach most agents adopt...

The balance of power is with buyers right now – the stats don’t lie:
📈 The number of homes available for sale is at an 11-year high
📊 There are 5% more homes for sale than at this time last year
📉 Almost a third of existing listings have already seen a price reduction

But it IS possible to sell AND still achieve a good price

We know this as we have agreed sales on all but one of the homes we’ve listed so far in 2026

This is not a flex, but rather an example of where smaller independent agents have a big advantage right now

📢 Our MP has confirmed that the much-loved Frimley Fuel Allotments is set to be lost and bulldozed to make way for the new Frimley Park Hospital.

Many local residents believe this is entirely the wrong location for a major new hospital development, and once this green space is gone, it’s gone forever.

Please sign the petition and share it far and wide. 🙏🏻 If we don’t speak up now, we will lose this valuable green space forever.

How to get the right buyers 👀 on your home

High street estate agents rely heavily on portals like Rightmove to sell 🏡 and they get lots of views that way.

But here’s the problem:
❌ Lots of people ‘sofa surf’ Rightmove every evening (it’s almost a national sport!)
❌ Most of them are not active buyers
❌ It’s also hard to stand out, with people ‘doom scrolling’ their way through lists of homes

The solution?
👉 Social media, used well, is a powerful strategic tool – and it’s something I leaned into very early on with Wellingtons...
👉 All our listings are also uploaded to Rightmove, Zoopla and other portals too (social media is an addition, not alternative)
👉 And socials are key to growing reach, and getting homes seen by the right people – especially in a buyer’s market like we have now

I’ve shared two examples here, demonstrating the power of a ‘social first’ strategy👇🏼
