Commercial Property Experience

A new chapter of property management experience for Bennett’s 📍

Alongside residential property management, I’ve recently started working with commercial units across the UK — expanding my knowledge into another area of the industry and gaining valuable experience within commercial property operations.

This role is already giving me insight into:
✔ Commercial tenant liaison
✔ Contractor coordination
✔ Property compliance and maintenance
✔ Multi-site portfolio organisation
✔ Day-to-day commercial property management processes

One of the things I enjoy most about property is that there is always something new to learn. Every sector operates differently, and building experience across both residential and commercial property only strengthens the level of service and understanding I can bring to clients.

I’m excited to continue developing my knowledge in this field and working alongside experienced professionals within the commercial sector.

Over the last 5 months, Bennett’s has been working closely with a private landlord and a local council supporting the management of a temporary accommodation portfolio.

This has given me valuable hands-on experience managing properties that require a high level of organisation, communication, compliance awareness, and responsive day-to-day management.

From maintenance coordination to occupier communication, compliance tracking and working alongside housing teams — it has been a fast-paced but incredibly rewarding area of property management to work within.

Temporary accommodation is becoming an increasingly important part of the UK housing sector and can offer strong opportunities for landlords looking for:

✔ Longer-term arrangements
✔ Consistent occupancy
✔ Reduced void periods
✔ Professional management support
✔ A more hands-off investment approach

It also comes with its own operational and compliance responsibilities, which is where experience and structured management become essential.
