Just wanted to share a little food for thought for anyone thinking of listing their property.

A lady I valued for a couple of weeks ago emailed me to say she wasn’t using my services as she had found an agent that would give her a cheaper rate. Not an issue except when she called to chat further she told me she wasn’t at all impressed with the photographer of her chosen agent and so had paid for her own photographs!! Two points here:-

Firstly that photography payment probably made the difference between the two fees.

Secondly and more importantly if you do not have faith that your agent can provide an excellent listing including those all important photographs then surely you wouldn’t put your most valuable asset for sale with them.

As they say “nowt as weird as folk!”🤯🏠🤷‍♀️

We agreed the sale on this property 10 weeks ago. At the time the buyer said no rush we don’t need to move until September. Plot twist buyer suddenly announces change of plan as is expecting a baby and cannot register with hospital or doctors until exchanged. Our conveyancers Elite Conveyancing stepped up and the move from Hemel Hempstead to Cambridge happened today. Could not be more thankful🙏
