Covid-19 Update For All Tenants And Landlords

With new government restrictions coming into force tomorrow we would like to give you a little update on how we will operate for the next 4 weeks.

The Lightworks building will be completely closed as this is a shopping mall however our office will remain open by appointment only.

You must wear a face covering whilst entering our premises and also use the hand sanitizer provided outside.

Our services will operate as normal and should you have any issues please contact our office and a member of our team will be on hand to help.

If you are moving in or out of one of our properties and have an appointment booked this will still go ahead as normal.

Should anyone have any issues or need any assistance whether that be a tenant, landlord or a member of the public please get in touch.

COVID-19 Update
Due to recent government advice our office has been closed since Friday but we are working as normal from home. This means all inspections and viewings have been cancelled until further notice.

Should you need repair works at your property please do let us know but only in emergency’s as we can no longer send contractors unless it’s for gas, electric or water.

Furthermore we know how worrying it is for you all having to pay rents whilst you are unable to work but the government have put a few things in place to help you. Firstly should you not be able to work at all or receive any payment you must contact universal credit and see what they can help you with. There are also systems coming into place for self employed in the next few days and the government are already giving employed workers 80% of their pay.

Should you not be able to get any pay or cover the rent a rental holiday can be authorised however this would be last resort as ultimately you will be getting into rent arrears. I must however stress that your rent is your most important bill so this should be priority over everything else until this passes.

Our advice is to see what you are entitled to and to keep us informed should you have any issues making rent payments. As you all know we are very approachable so please don’t hesitate to call as we are on hand for you more than ever.

On a final note please all follow guidelines and STAY AT HOME. Not only for the safety of yourselves but for the safety of other around you. We wish you all great health and love at this challenging time and look forward to seeing you all in the summer.

Attention to all landlords, tenants and the local community. We here at Harrigans would like to do our upmost to help out in the recent Coronavirus outbreak and are offering anyone in the local community our help.

Should you be self isolating or are unwell we would be more than happy to help fetch food and prescriptions especially to the elderly or vulnerable.

At present we will still be offering our normal services however if you have contractors booked to carry our works and you become unwell please notify us before they attend.

At such a sad time in our lives it’s imperative that we all stick together as a country and stop panic buying as this is causing more problems especially for the elderly.

Remember wash your hands for 20 seconds and if you feel unwell please stay at home.
