🌼 Orchard Yard's Magical Day with Wingham Primary School! 🌼
We recently had the honour of hosting the wonderful students from Wingham Primary School at Orchard Yard, and the day was nothing short of magical. Here are a few words from their teacher:
"Towards the end of the Summer Term, our year six students were invited to Orchard Place to visit with residents. Having recently worked very hard on their production of 'Year 6 play Matilda,' the children decided to showcase some of their songs and dance routines to entertain the Orchard Place community. The class performed in the beautiful garden to begin, but due to the classic timing of a heavy summer rain shower, we were forced to relocate to the indoor communal area.
Following the Matilda songs, the three winning entrants of the school talent show led a spontaneous rendition of their George Ezra song whilst the rest of the class joined in with supportive gusto. After an appreciative round of applause, the children enjoyed some time chatting with the audience and sharing examples of their school work - whilst munching on a generous supply of biscuits!"
It was a day filled with music, laughter, and connections between the young and the young at heart. We extend our thanks to Wingham Primary School for bringing such joy to Orchard Yard. Moments like these remind us of the beauty of music, laughter, and intergenerational connections.
