A little bit of a bittersweet day… 🤍

My very first Airbnb has officially been sold. As I placed the final hamper inside, took one last look around and closed the door, I felt a real mix of emotions.

That little property was the start of something I never quite imagined would grow into what it has. It was a huge learning curve, a lot of hard work, plenty of late nights, but most importantly, it gave me the confidence to take the next step. 🥹

And now… as one door closes, another one opens. ✨

Remember my trusted trolley? 🛒😂

Well… today it decided our relationship had gone far enough.

On the way back to the car, with it absolutely FULL of laundry, the trolley ran me over. 🤦‍♀️

Yes. Me. Run over by my own trusty laundry companion.

Lucky for the trolley it’s still in one piece… because otherwise it would currently be in several pieces floating around in the sea. 🌊😂

Needless to say, the trust has been broken.

Anyone else been personally attacked by their own household equipment? 😂

🧺 Laundry game-changer! 🧺

I’ve officially upgraded my laundry round with a trolley! 🙌 No more carrying mountains of washing to the houses like I’m training for the Laundry Olympics. 😂

And, because even laundry legends need a lunch break, I managed to sneak in a quick bite at a lovely sushi restaurant in Deal 🍣 — complete with a cat run! 🐈‍⬛❤️

High season is officially in FULL SWING… and apparently chaos has booked a long-term stay. 😂☀️

🧺 Laundry mountain? Growing.
🚪 Guests arriving and departing? Non-stop.
💨 Gas leak in Margate? Because apparently we needed a little extra excitement — and now guests can’t access an apartment.
🔐 Broken locks? Naturally.
🏊‍♀️ Swimming pool? FINALLY stopped leaking. 🙏 Hallelujah.
🔥 Temperature? A casual 36°C.
👷‍♀️ Cleaners, maintenance teams and everyone else? Running around making miracles happen in the heat.

At this point, we’re basically operating a holiday-let version of Survivor. 😂

I’d say “roll on winter”… but then I remember we have 30+ Christmas trees to put up. 🎄🎄🎄

So actually… forget winter.
I’ll take a nice, quiet Tuesday in October. 😅

Starting the day in the hot tub… because it’s the only thing that’s going to be warm and relaxing today. 🛁😂

We’re pretty much fully booked this week, which sounds amazing… until you’re the one trying to juggle:

🧺 Endless laundry
🧹 Cleaners
🔧 Maintenance
🏡 Guests
🔑 Owners

…all while pretending everything is running perfectly.

Current job description: professional plate spinner, part-time therapist, full-time firefighter. 🔥

By the end of the week I’ll either need another hot tub or a holiday myself. 😅

Wish me luck… or coffee. Preferably both. ☕🍷

It’s been a super busy few weeks, but today I had the pleasure of meeting with Victoria from Canterbury Baking School to help her create and launch her brand-new Airbnb Experience. 🍞✨

As a huge fan of fresh bread, I was fascinated hearing all about her hands-on sourdough baking class—from creating and caring for your starter to mixing, shaping, scoring and baking your very own artisan loaf.

It sounded so good that I couldn’t resist… I’ve already booked a class for me and my husband at the end of August! 🥖❤️

I can’t wait to get stuck in, learn the secrets behind great sourdough, and (hopefully!) come home with a loaf I’m proud of. I’ll be sure to share my experience with you all afterwards.

Today’s Airbnb dilemma… 🤦‍♀️🏡

Just your average day in holiday lets… 😂

🐥 Baby gulls have moved into the garden and Mum is now running a full security operation, attacking anyone who dares to go near. Garden access: revoked. Beach trips: mandatory. 🌊

🔑 Guests forgetting to leave keys in the lockboxes, leaving the cleaners playing a real-life escape room.

🛁 Hot tubs apparently being too hot… I mean, at least they’re enthusiastic? 🤷‍♀️

❄️ And to top it all off, a freezer decided today was the perfect day to retire, so it was a quick dash to Canterbury for a replacement.

People think Airbnb hosting is all pretty interiors and welcome hampers… the reality is angry seagulls, missing keys, emergency appliance shopping and explaining that hot tubs are, in fact, meant to be hot! 😂

What’s everyone else’s Saturday looking like? 👀. On a plus note we did manage a quick brunch and two new dogs to welcome to the family 🥰🤣

⚡️ New Car Day! ⚡️

Officially gone all electric and I’m already embracing the full EV lifestyle… silently judging petrol stations as I glide past. 🔋🚗💨

First adventure? A trip to Dover for dance class.
The only problem? I accidentally had the heated seats on… on the hottest day of the year. 🥵🔥

Nothing says “eco warrior” quite like voluntarily slow-roasting yourself in 30-degree heat because you still haven’t worked out all the buttons. 😂

Zero emissions.
Maximum confusion.
Absolutely loving it already. 💚⚡️
