We holiday in StIves multiple times per year and this is the first and won’t be the last) time we’ve stayed with Cherished and in West
Coast House. The house is phenomenal and truly the best house we have ever stayed in.
Outstanding views from the main bedrooms and lounge, we often slept with the windows open just listening to those Porthmeor waves.
On arrival, the house was immaculately clean and the furnishings luxurious. No expense has been spared in the holiday property and the owner’s attention to detail does not go unnoticed The kitchen was well equipped and beautiful, all the fixtures and fittings in the kitchen and bathroom were high grade and worked well. The downstairs shower was perfect for sandy beach days and really powerful.
Perfect location for Porthmeor (5-10 mins- if you have a beach trolley and need to avoid the steps!) and the harbour, you are at the shops in less than 7 minutes! We spent a few days at Porthminster too which was easily accessible down a few hills and through the edge of town.
Being able to see the “famous” St Ives sunsets from the house was a real luxury, there are some benches out front to sit and ponder.
Parking for two cars (and down the pre-warned narrow street) was tight and needed some planning with the other family we shared the house with. However, we barely used the car as we just love being in our happy place, StIves. We have an SUV and soon got used the navigating the narrow entry in an out.
Truly spectacular stay and we are already planning a longer return for next summer.
