If you have lost something in a taxi:
1. Call the company you booked with, they record all booked journeys and can check with the driver when they are next working.
2. If you didn't book the taxi and got into one on the rank / flagged one down then contact Cardiff Bay Police Station. If a driver finds property left in their vehicle this is where they take it as per their licensing conditions
3. If your property is found, taxis are not charities. If they have to use their time and fuel to bring back the property you lost don't be surprised if they charge you. Their time to bring it back has cost them a fare and therefore their income to support their own family. If they bring it back free of charge count yourself very lucky!
4. Don't be surprised if your property is no longer in the vehicle. Drivers pick up lots of passengers and not all passengers are honest enough to hand lost property to the driver and often take the item with them.
