Love this, how it should be 🥰
Visiting the place where I grew up brings back so many memories. I genuinely miss these days more than I ever thought I would.
Growing up in Wales was different.
Playing hide and seek until the street lights came on which was basically the Welsh version of Find My iPhone. 😂
The chip van turning up and you could smell the vinegar from two postcodes away. You’d hear it coming and suddenly every kid on the estate was sprinting home looking for £2. 😂
Random dogs roaming around like they were local councillors. Nobody knew whose they were, but everyone knew their names and which one could potentially rip your arm off 😆
Jumpers for goalposts. Football on any patch of grass we could find. Someone’s mam shouting their FULL NAME from the doorstep when it was time to come in. 😂
Knocking your mate’s door and asking, “Is he coming out?” No texts. No WhatsApp. No location sharing. You’d disappear for the entire day and your parents just assumed you’d eventually find your way home. 😂
Coming back absolutely soaking because in Wales a sunny afternoon can turn into horizontal rain in approximately 14 seconds.
🏴
Everyone knew everyone. Everyone knew your parents. And if you did something you shouldn’t have, there was a very good chance your mam knew about it before you’d even got home. 😂
I genuinely couldn’t have wished for a better place to grow up.
