Borderlands Glamping& Shepherds Hut Our bespoke luxury glamping pod, located near Longtown, Carlisle, offers the perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to unwind in style.

In line with the government's four step road map to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions, we are delighted to share that as of April 12th we will be able to welcome single household bookings to Borderlands Glamping. From May 17th this can hopefully be extended to two households. To find out more please visit gov.uk (Scotland re opens 26th April 2021)

However whilst there is still a level of uncertainty and in addition to our continued high standards of cleaning, we have chosen to keep a 72 hour buffer between bookings in place. Not only is this a reassuring measure but we hope it will help mitigate the risk of spreading the virus to others. Autumn mid week or weekend breaks are perfect this time of the year, weather still good for this time of the year,Swallows have not left yet, perfect for exploring, or spending a day on the river Esk fishing locally or cycling.
Relax enjoy the stunning views, open countryside , Northern Lake District fells 7&beyond in peace & tranquility. Dip in an out of your own private hot tub under the cover of darkness, with the wonderful aroma of burning logs, then have a fabulous nights sleep. Refreshed & ready to go! Another 3 caught today and a few lost.
Mally Johnston caught a nice Salmon at Wilkies this morning.
Norman Shankie caught a nice Grilse at the Roost
Elliott Williams caught a good Salmon tonight at Wilkies. (It's been in the river for a while but still a good fish.) All fish returned well.
We are due some rain tonight and tomorrow but we'll just see what arrives.

“ Liked: Lovely cosy comfortable pod, super comfy bed, the place was spotless, plenty of utensils etc. The little touches made it special such as the fairy lights around the hot tub, the complimentary treats and Scottish breakfast tray with eggs from the site farm and fresh flowers. Adele was attentive checking everything was okay for us, the sheep were friendly too!

"Everything was amazing,. Nicest hut I've stayed in and I've stayed in alot as I don't fly, all the added extras you get really make you feel welcome. Hot tub was ready for our arrival and easy to use and hosts were lovely and did anything for you, will definitely be bk x" #
