🔐 Today's Job Update 🔐
Today's job involved a property where the tenant had moved out, and the owners wanted the locks changed for peace of mind. A new 1-star thumb-turn euro cylinder was fitted to improve security and convenience.
While carrying out the work, I found that a latch was missing, so I removed the full mechanism from the door for a closer inspection. It turned out that several screws were missing, and the centre gearbox wasn't quite the correct fit for the door.
Unfortunately, some of the required parts are now discontinued, but I've managed to source what is needed and have them on order. I'll be returning on Saturday to complete the repair and get everything working as it should.
Sometimes a simple lock change uncovers hidden issues, but it's always better to find and fix them properly than leave them causing problems down the line. 👍

Small jobs matter just as much 👌
Today was a straightforward handle change over. The old handle had become a bit worn and wobbly over time, so it was swapped like for like with an identical replacement.
Everything now solid, secure and working exactly as it should again 🔐
Sometimes it’s the small issues that, if left, can turn into bigger problems later on.

Don’t usually do cars — they can be a total nightmare 😅
But today was a Mercedes GLA 220… which is an added level of nightmare on its own.
Customer needed access ASAP with a wedding planned tomorrow 💍
Keys were locked in the boot, but managed to gain entry and get everything sorted in time.
Another one done when it mattered most 👌

As you can see, this was a very stiff door — something small that could’ve easily led to bigger issues 👀
We’re talking snapped handles, failed mechanisms, lockouts… you get the picture.
A quick service later and it’s now running smooth again 🔧
The owner might have 99 problems… but this ain’t one 😎

At a property today that’s just been purchased — new owners wanted full peace of mind with fresh locks front and back 🔐
As you can see, the original lock wasn’t even visible 👀 not ideal when it comes to security.
Upgraded to a thumbturn on one door and a double key-sided lock on the other — giving both convenience and added protection.
Now they can relax knowing no one else has a set of keys 🙌
