There are 17 GOLF COURSES LISTED on the Visit Angus page (and there are many more in neighbouring Dundee too) - making this part of the East Coast of Scotland, a great place to visit.
There is so much more to do for those in your party who are not looking to play (see the Guide within our Listings and the sites listed below for ideas).
Wherever you end up, The Halfway Houses - self catering Carnoustie are a great central base for you to stay - with the bonus of being right next to Angus Alchemy Distillery (great for Taster Experiences and they have Connekt EV Charging units).
There are so many beautiful beaches, Castles, Museums, water parks, shops, restaurants, cafes, and there is plenty for kids to do (all a relatively short car journey away).
So, why not make Angus and Dundee the next place you’re visiting!
Our calendar opens up for 6 months in advance, but we are taking bookings for The Open and if there is any other time you are looking to book for, please contact us - we take bookings on the sites listed in our bio, including direct.

⛳ Your next great round starts in Angus!
With 17 golf courses stretching from the spectacular east coast to the foothills of the Angus Glens, Angus is made for memorable days on the fairways. Choose from world-famous links, peaceful parkland and beautiful heathland courses, whether you’re chasing a new challenge or simply enjoying the game and the scenery.
A few highlights to add to your golfing wish list:
🏆 Carnoustie Championship Course, one of Scotland’s most celebrated links and a legendary test for golfers from around the world.
🌊 Montrose 1562, the fifth-oldest golf course in the world. Its undulating fairways, fast greens and North Sea winds create a classic links challenge against the Angus coastline.
🏌️ Monifieth Medal, where Tom Watson played his first-ever shot on a links course in 1975, shortly before going on to win The Open at Carnoustie.
✨ Panmure Golf Club, where Ben Hogan practised before winning The Open in 1953. He even suggested a change to the sixth hole, which is now named “Hogan”.
