❤️ Something a little different from Kala’s Campers today…

Usually this page is all about campervans, adventures and getting out there to make memories, but today I wanted to share an adventure that means an awful lot to me personally.

My sister Pippa is taking on an incredible challenge next month — walking 76 km of the Camino de Santiago in Spain with Team Marsden to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. 🥾❤️

This is particularly close to our hearts. We lost both our Mum and Dad to cancer, and Pippa herself was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer seven years ago. Thankfully she bravely came through it, but she continues to attend The Royal Marsden and knows first-hand just how important the work they do is.

So Kala’s Campers is very proud to be sponsoring Pippa on her Camino de Santiago Trek and is kicking things off by donating £100 🚐❤️

She has set herself a target of £1,600, and every donation — however small — will help her get there and support the incredible work of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Imagine having a little log burner inside this! 🔥

That’s pretty much what Ziggy’s diesel heater feels like. 🚐❤️

This weekend I’ve been staying with family and using Ziggy as an extra bedroom — and it’s reminded me just how brilliant a campervan is for more than just camping!

I popped the diesel heater on at the beginning of the evening and, honestly, we lasted about 10 minutes before it was so warm I had to switch it off! 😂🔥 The best bit? Ziggy stayed beautifully warm and cosy throughout the night.

And there are a few other little luxuries you don’t necessarily think about…

🍷🥛 Your own fridge, kitchen and microwave right outside the house — bring your favourite drinks, snacks and breakfast bits.

Noirmoutier is a fantastic place for a campervan holiday, with beautiful sandy beaches, peaceful coastal scenery and charming little villages to explore. The island is compact enough to get around easily, while still offering plenty of places to stop, walk, cycle and enjoy the sea. With its relaxed atmosphere, salt marshes, local markets and spectacular sunsets, it’s an ideal destination for slowing down and enjoying the freedom of campervan travel.

Back at my desk after my final few days away this summer 🇫🇷

😎We've spent the last stretch in Noirmoutier — a beautiful Island with a real holiday vibe. Cute, low key accommodation options, gorgeous restaurants, a chateaux, and beautiful beaches. A great spot for a short break by the sea or combined with a stay in Nantes or Bordeaux.

🐘I couldn't not mention the wild detour to Les Machines de l'Île with the giant mechanical elephant and the strangest carousel I've ever seen! I can't think of anywhere else you could ride a mechanical Ostrich, sit on a miners head or, whiz around on a mythical creature, a definite highlight for Darcey!

🖥Back at my desk now, and I've been working on a lovely new enquiry to Sri Lanka today, as well as continuing to prepare for all your up coming trips!
