Grasmere - Sour Milk Ghyll - Easedale Tarn …. And up along the tops behind the Langdales and back down to Grasmere for well earned gingerbread. Swimming is optional !
Lots of routes once you’re up there. You can do it as a straight up and down the Ghyll. The waterfalls & pools are inviting on warm sunny days for a quick dip and the tarn is a good spot for a wild swim. But make sure you know what you’re doing!

This could affect your journey into Cartmel. First full closure is signposted for tonight, overnight. This won’t happen often at all. But the A591/592 diversion is a significant one. Keep your eye on the socials they mention on the card for the latest info.
