🏡 LANDLORDS – BIG CHANGES ARE COMING! 🚨
If you own a rental property, there's another important change on the horizon that you need to be aware of!
As part of the Renters’ Rights Act, a new Private Rented Sector Property Register is being introduced, bringing additional responsibilities for landlords across England.
But what does this actually mean for you? 🤔
💷 Registration costs – The proposed annual fee is £65 per property.
🏠 Property registration – Landlords will need to register their rental properties and provide key ownership and management information.
📝 Keeping records updated – Changes to property details, ownership or management will need to be recorded.
⚠️ Compliance matters – Failure to register when required could affect your ability to advertise a property for rent.
📅 Phased introduction – The register is expected to be introduced in stages, with further details and deadlines to be confirmed.
So, should landlords be worried?
Not necessarily, but they certainly need to be prepared!
