Create Your Dream Home in the Heart of Caxton
Opportunities like this are rare.

Tucked away down a peaceful country lane in the beautiful green-belt village of Caxton, nine self-build plots have just been released to the market — offering the chance to create a bespoke family home in one of Cambridgeshire’s most desirable locations.

What makes these plots truly special is not just the location, but the lifestyle they promise. Backing onto the grounds of a Grade II* listed building and bordering the conservation area, the site is protected from further development on its south and west boundaries.

To the north and east, just a small cluster of homes leads onto open countryside, striking a perfect balance between community and rural seclusion.

Each plot is fully serviced, with utilities already in place — including a “builders box” at the front — meaning they are genuinely ready to build. Buyers will benefit from generous plot sizes, ideal for substantial family homes complete with gardens, offices, or even leisure spaces such as home gyms and garden rooms.

Caxton itself offers the charm of countryside living, yet with every convenience close at hand. Just a mile away in Cambourne, you’ll find Ofsted-rated schools, supermarkets, healthcare, leisure facilities, and restaurants. For commuters, the location couldn’t be better: three London-bound train stations lie within 8 miles, and the A428, A14, A1, and M11 are all easily reached.

More about the village, St Andrews Church – Caxton

The village is blessed with a beautiful church steeped in history.
The church has a chancel, nave, south aisle, and west tower. The walls are field stones and re-used material with clunch and free stone dressings, the roofs are tiled.
St Andrew’s belonged to the Priory of Lewes until 1351 when it passed to the Dean and Canons of Windsor.
There are six bells, a sixteenth to seventeenth century communion table, and the font, perhaps thirteenth century, has an octagonal limestone bowl. The rood screen is thought to be early Victorian. Restorations were carried out in 1863 – 1869 when the south aisle and porch were rebuilt. Further restoration work was undertaken in 1929-30, and the outer walls of the tower were repaired and made waterproof in 2000.
