Grisiau’r Afon - Cemaes Bay

Another beautiful week spent in Anglesey🐣 - we walked to the brickworks from Grisiau’r Afon a nice 10km - keep your eyes peeled for the dolphins 🐬 We walked the Newborough sand dunes - 12km in the sun ☀️ (this is 45mins from the house) if you are staying with us or planning to stay we are always happy to offer hints and tips about our favourite holiday destination.

Here’s to a new season of Sandy toes, late night star ⭐️ watching on the beach and bat o🦇and red squirrel 🐿️ watching in the garden.

Easter Holiday fun in the sun ☀️

For those of you who are missing our beautiful island, waiting to return or just planning your next adventure here are our Easter holiday highlights.

Walks within 20mins of Grisiau’r Afon - South stack,Treath Y Ora (if you haven’t been please do look it up, my all time favourite beach) Porth Wen

Cemaes is the perfect beach for water sports , especially with little ones as the beach is shallow and the bay is enclosed. Mine have lived trying out their paddle board this week.

Christmas is coming and we still have availability over the festive period. What are you waiting for? A cosy Christmas in Cemaes is just what you need. Walks on the beach, followed by a roaring fire and a glass or two of your favourite Feative drink in one of the 4 (very) local pubs.

We have just spent the weekend making our little holiday home Christmas ready (photos to follow) I did get a little sidetracked teaching the oldest how to play chess 🥰

Grisiau’r afon and Cemaes bay you did not disappoint. We have had a the most amazing week enjoying the sun ☀️ first week of the summer holidays, making memories. We didn’t even leave the village.

We are now booked up for summer 2021 however there is some availability for September and October. These dates tend to book up fast once we are in to August.

Richard and I have been busy planning our next Grisiau’r afon venture. Watch this space for more details over the coming months.

Back to enjoying this wonderful island and Cemaes Bay with the whole family.

A nice 6 mile circular walk from Grisiau’r afon to The old brick works at Porth Wen (a real must see if you are staying at Grisiau’r Afon or Cemaes Bay.) followed by paddle boarding in the bay, the icing on the cake was back to back sunshine and seeing some of our Anglesey family. This really was a great welcome back to Anglesey 😀👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌼🌸

Hello spring 🌼

We have finally managed to come to our little house to get it ready for summer and the vast amount of booking we already have.

Cemaes couldn’t look more beautiful and the beaches and business eagerly await the arrival of visitors.

We genuinely hope you fall in love with this little corner of our island and love our little house as much as we do.

You can’t help but feel excited and optimistic about the future when the sun is shining and sea is sparkling
