🚚 WE’RE HIRING: CLASS C DRIVER & PORTER
CM Removals & Storage is looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Class C Driver & Porter to join our growing Essex removals team.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone confident driving a Class C removals vehicle who is also happy to work as part of the crew — loading, protecting, transporting and delivering customers’ belongings safely and professionally. 📦🏠
The majority of our work is across Essex, London and the surrounding areas, but we are increasingly completing longer-distance moves across the UK.
As the business continues to grow, there may also be future opportunities to assist with international and overseas removals. 🇬🇧🌍
The role
📍 Based in Essex
📅 Minimum of 3 days per week
📈 Most weeks increasing to up to 5 days per week, depending on bookings
💷 Competitive rates of pay, based on experience and performance

What we need from you
To apply, you must have:
✅ A valid Class C / Category C HGV driving licence
✅ At least 6 months’ proven experience driving Class C vehicles
✅ A valid Driver CPC
✅ A valid Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Experience in removals, logistics, delivery, transport or another physically demanding role
✅ A professional, polite and customer-focused attitude
✅ A strong work ethic, punctuality and reliability
✅ The physical fitness to safely carry furniture, boxes and household belongings throughout the working day
✅ The ability to work well within a team and represent CM Removals professionally
✅ Flexibility around start times, job locations and occasional longer working days
What you’ll be doing
As a Class C Driver & Porter, you will:
• Safely drive and operate CM Removals’ Class C removal vehicles.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
• Load, unload, protect and position customers’ belongings with care.
• Work with the removals team to complete moves efficiently and safely.
• Use removals equipment correctly, including blankets, trolleys, straps and packing materials.
• Help customers feel looked after throughout what can be a stressful moving day.
• Keep the vehicle, equipment and work areas clean, organised and presentable.
• Deliver the high standard of service that helps us earn 5-star reviews. ⭐
