*Millboard Decking Path*

Working closely with Essex Home Improvements, we carried out this stunning path in the beautiful millboard golden oak, connecting two separate sections in our client’s garden.

We started by digging out the path area to allow airflow for the sub-base and as always, using class 4 treated timber to create this deck frame, before laying the millboard planks, starting with an edging border.

To finish, we installed low level integrated deck lights, which look outstanding in the evening.

This pathway is going to look stunning for years to come, and won’t be moving anywhere due to the standard of timber used in the sub base.

Another cracking job from the team, all in time for summer.

*Exciting day as we become Millboard Approved Installers!*

There are plenty of different types of decking available on the market such as soft wood timber, hardwood and composite, however one brand in particular always stands out and that is Millboard.

Millboard has a unique range of benefits with it being more slip resistant to other brands, fade resistant, a 'lost head' fixing system and also boasts an impressively low carbon footprint to manufacture.

As we are always adding to our knowledge, last year we went on a training course at Millboard HQ in Coventry to learn more about the product and learn the 'Millboard way'

Today we have completed a stunning deck at a property we finished the extension on just before Christmas using the stunning 'Golden Oak' board. It was a joy to put into place using the techniques and methods we had learnt on the course such as the angled back cuts, glueing mitres, trimming in the bullnose border and many more! The subframe was built to spec using Grade 4 pressure treated timber, along with correct spacings and dimensions of posts and joists as well as at least 50mm airflow beneath the frame.

After inspection today from a Millboard Rep, we received the great news that we have passed to be recognised as 'Approved Millboard Installers'.

When you Have made a decision to revamp the garden, 2 things should be the main priority…

• A reputable company with highly skilled tradesmen to undertake the work.

• Materials that will withstand the elements and last for years to come!

We highly recommend this amazing product millboard.

Millboard combines the natural beauty of real wood with the high performance of polyurethane, a material widely recognized for its strength. Polyurethane is used in many industries where durability and strength is required, eliminating the inevitable rotting, warping and deterioration of natural wood. Millboard maintains a functional and highly attractive deck for years to come.

*Tough*

The unique Lastane layer resists scratches and stains and is designed to withstand more demanding outdoor environments than timber can.

*Enduring*

The dual-tone Lastane surface is hand tinted using pigments designed to replicate the look of natural timber

*Safer*

Millboard is wood-free and non-porous, which means high resistance to algae growth and excellent anti-slip properties.

*Lighter*

Our unique. closed 'cellular' internal structure reduces weight while maintaining strength.

*Stronger*

The structural core is a blend of natural minerals bonded in a polymer resin with long fibre reinforcement for added strength.

*Durable*

Millboard decking is solid, not hollow. This makes it strong and means it won't warp, rot or harbour insects and pests like timber would.
