On our summers day exploring Exhibition Road, we visited Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art at the V&A.

A mix of iconic celebrity moments, archive pieces and surrealist design, from Ariana Grande’s red “Ruby Slipper” Oscars gown and Bella Hadid’s Cannes lungs dress, to Dua Lipa’s Golden Globes skeleton dress and Wallis Simpson’s lobster dress.

Not every piece was celebrity-worn, which made it even better. Some were runway theatre, some were archive fantasy, and some were simply Schiaparelli at its most surreal.

An exhibition full of drama, detail and fashion at its most imaginative.
