🏠 Landlords in Gloucester, are you up to date?

Gloucester City Council’s new Additional HMO Licensing Scheme is now in force affecting smaller HMOs across the city.

HMOs occupied by 3 or 4 people from 2 or more households now require a licence, unless already covered by mandatory HMO licensing.

The good news is that the Council has extended its early-bird discounted application fee until 20 October 2026.

There are further changes ahead too, with a new Article 4 Direction coming into force on 3 March 2027 in specified areas of Gloucester affecting planning requirements for future small HMO conversions.
