Welsh Gatehouse: Historic Holiday Let The Welsh Gatehouse is a historic holiday 'cottage' for 2 people, in Chepstow, South Wales, UK. Built approx 1270, Grade 2*, it combines history and luxury.

You have: a beautiful garden for your BBQ, an EV charger for your car, and a wood burning stove. Juliet Grayson is a psychosexual therapist and counsellor. William Ayot is a poet, writer, and leadership mentor. He brings his love of story, ritual and history to this unique space, adding depth and character to the experience of staying here. Don't forget to read the 50 page history that you'll find in the Gatehouse. Jon manages the Gatehouse and is part of our team.

What breed of cattle are these? Please let me know in the comments.

It's so great - to be able to walk directly from our door - from the Welsh Gatehouse: Historic Holiday Let and to be on the Wales Coastal Path within a few minutes.

When we got to the Chepstow and District Yacht Club at St Pierre Pill, just off the Seven Estuary, we had a rest and enjoyed the views ( of the water and both Severn Bridges). And then walked back. A lovely walk.

We could have carried on for miles and miles.

I'm loving some pics our current guests have just sent through. From the top of the tower Welsh Gatehouse: Historic Holiday Let. With their gorgeous dog Pippa - who sleeps on the bed with them ( that's the blue and white duvet cover).

We heard yesterday we have won an award for Pet Friendly Accommodation of the Year. From Prestige Awards. YIPPEE! More news on that to follow in a few days.
