This is a small commercial bin store in the heart of Chester. We carried out an urgent clearance yesterday so the bin company could access the bin - they refused on the last attempt! Not surprising....... Now it's ready for the jet washing, and the wheelie bin to go back in. Oh, and there was a rat's nest at the back 🐀 ♻

Cheap waste clearances.........

It's great to see the fly-tippers being caught...

Always check that your waste collector has a license and that they're correctly insured.

WASTE OF A JOURNEY:

This morning some of the team were busy helping the Environment Agency deal with a location near to when this skip lorry turned up.

Rather quickly and obviously, the driver changed direction and drove off.

With support from officers from the Local Policing Unit, the vehicle was stopped. The driver had no insurance, the only insurance on the vehicle was for someone else and that was for social, domestic and pleasure.

The vehicle didn't have an MOT and so it was seized and taken away. The driver who wasn't best pleased, has been reported for the offences.

We want to support those waste carriers who go about their business safely and legally, and we want to target those who don't. Please ensure you check who you're using when getting rid of your waste, making sure they have the correct permits.

(A press release about today's operation will follow soon)

Thank you all for your continued support,

Sgt Simpson

This is in our home town. It’s great to see that fly-tipping prosecutions are happening, but there simply aren’t enough resources available to tackle it properly.

We don’t have any excuses whatsoever, as there are ample facilities available to get waste disposed of, regardless of our circumstances, so why is fly-tipping on the increase? 🤷🏻‍♂️

We’d be interested in your views and opinions.
