A busy week with lots of repairs, today’s job was a full refurb of new gaskets, out with the old mouldy white gaskets, and new black gaskets fitted, new Cockspur handles, hinges and 4 new glass units.

A little job from last week, it wasn’t my usual repair, but given I use to do my own lead work, I knew I’d be able to do a better job than what their builders had left them with, removed the old lead, and I managed to re shape and use again, and then replace the one piece that wasn’t the right size.
Left the customer very happy, with no worries the roof will leak in the future.

First job this morning was a cottage in Barlow, 4 new glass units, 2 pairs of window hinges and new bubble and wedge gasket, the hinges were fire escape easy clean, which make cleaning upstairs windows quite easy, but still give you an escape route if needed.

Today we took on the job of, removing and re installing a sliding patio door, it was fitted originally less than 5 years ago by a large local company, the door wouldn’t open and close properly and it leaked through the bottom of the door, which caused a lot of damage to the laminate flooring, the door now runs smooth, is level and fully sealed where it matters.

I’ve been super busy since my return to work, but here is a few photos from my first job today, a full set of 3d fully adjustable hinges, new gaskets and weather bar, ready for the customer to have the door sprayed to anthracite grey.
