Smart Short Stays Ltd is a property management company, we manage our property portfolio in Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Derby and Nottingham area. The company offers high quality HMOs and services accommodation to contractors, business professionals in the area, and associated company offers property training and coaching, we have grown our business massively in the last few years and have a team with 15 to 20 staffs employed or contracted. The office is very busy and therefore we are looking for a talented, hard working, easy going and fast learning individual to join our busy office in Chesterfield.
The role:
Financial Officer/Accounts Admin/Book keeper
Job description:
A small property management company based in Chesterfield, is seeking a detailed bookkeeper & Financial officer/office administrative assistant on full-time or part-time basis. Knowledge and working experience of Xero Accounts software are essential, as well as a good level of general IT literacy.
The ideal candidate:
You should have strong bookkeeping skills. Highly computer literate with previous experience in Xero accountant software, balancing of accounts for month end, annual company tax filing, and good communication skills and a team player.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining accounts
• Input of invoices and receipt to Xero
• Balancing suppliers’ statement and bank reconciliation
• Update and managing and filing documents
• Balancing accounts and credit control
• Preparing cash flow statements
• Generating monthly management account
• Generating ad-hoc reports when requested by management
• Other general office admin duties
• Prepare rent statement for tenants
• Preparing eviction statement to court hearings
• Responding to customer calls and enquiries
• Sending out information to customers
• Raising invoice and taking bookings and payments
• Dealing with customers checking in and checking out enquiries
• Allocate or instruct cleaners or handyman for emergency issues
• Prepare guest directory and operational manual for properties
• Preparing tax return for multiple businesses
• VAT tax return
You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts as required by the company accountant and assist with other administrative tasks when necessary.
The hours:
Either full time 40 hours per week, or part time or flexible working hours are considered. This is an office-based role, not remote home working role. If you have the required experience and are looking for a new or additional role, please get in touch.
Salary:
Between £16,380 to £24960 per annual, and salary is negotiable depending on your skills and experience.
