📣📣The first phase of the Renters' Rights Act 2025 for England came into effect on 1st May 2026.
The Renters’ Rights Act is the biggest change in lettings legislation since 1988, with amongst other changes, all ASTs automatically becoming monthly rolling periodic agreements (APTs) and the banning of Section 21 no fault evictions.
