It doesn't feel like 30 years since I started Regency Lettings & Property Management. I am still passionate about property, lettings and providing a 1st class service - I cannot imagine doing anything else!
I started out as an accidental sales negotiator 41 years ago – it started as a weekend job with Windsor Fareham Estate Agents in West Byfleet.
It was the time of the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh, the industry had very few women and there were no mobile phones, no pagers and no panic alarms. I have had a few scary moments at properties with lone male viewers and even a prospective client. Even years later at GA Property Services I had to provide my staff with panic alarms myself as the company refused to. Companies still are very lax with the safety of staff, especially women and lone workers.
