Leigh Village Produce Show – Roundup & Congratulations!

What a show! A huge congratulations to all our winners, runners-up, and brave competitors who put their fruit, veg, flowers, cakes, jams, and creative masterpieces on the line for the judges’ sharp eyes (and taste buds). The standard this year was truly outstanding — who knew a pumpkin could be that big!

A special thank-you goes out to everyone who entered, spectated, baked, watered, peeled, or simply clapped enthusiastically at the right moment. And of course, a hearty round of applause for our volunteers and supporters, without whom the show would be little more than a lonely tomatoe on a table.

It’s the friendly rivalries, the laughter, and the shared cups of tea that make this event what it is. We can’t wait to see what you’ll all come up with next year, although the bar has now been set pretty high that future contestants may need a ladder (or at least a step stool).

Until then, keep your carrots straight, your dahlias dazzling, and your jam jars labelled (because mystery jam is not a category).

The Grand Total raised for the Village Hall was £1,142.15

See you next year!

What a night! We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we raised an incredible £295! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event, and a special shoutout to The Farmers Arms for their generous donation from the bar.

With the money raised, we’ll be purchasing the sound system we used last night, which will now be available for hire at the village hall—perfect for birthday parties and events!

If you have any suggestions for future events or feedback on last night, we’d love to hear from you. Just drop me a message!

Thank you again for all your support—this wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing community! 💗
