Surrounded by stunning countryside we welcome you to enjoy this special, tucked away smallholding on the North East slopes of the Long Mynd, sharing the farm with rare breed Soay sheep, a mix of chickens, Aylesbury ducks and pick-your-own veg. Only a few miles from Church Stretton you can watch wild ponies graze on the Long Mynd, soak up the spectacular views from the Shropshire Hills, or just walk the 1/2 mile to our local, much loved pub, with open fires and home-cooked food. As we live on the farm we'll be here to help you find the very best places to walk your dogs, ride your bikes, fly your kites or simply discover this spectacular County.

This year, we’ve loved seeing so many of our guests slow down and unwind during their holiday here with us in the beautiful Shropshire Hills countryside. Whether that’s painting in the garden, sketching by the fishing lake, writing, or simply finding a quiet corner of our guest garden to switch off with a good book. 🌿✨

While we never expect gifts from our holiday guests (your stay is truly enough)receiving a package in the post with a beautiful hand-painted portrait of our sheep was such a wonderful surprise. 🐑🎨

Reading feedback like this gives Marcus and I such a boost. It’s very rewarding to know that everything we’re building and refining at Middle Farm is being noticed by our guests and next on the list is Daisy’s Place getting the full works this January 💚

Whether guests come for the quiet magic of the Shropshire Hills or to unwind in one of our three beautiful cottages, we’re so grateful every time someone chooses to stay here. With a nod from an interior designer and over 100 five-star Google reviews, we must be doing something right!

Because we were once that couple, particularly Marcus….exhausted and desperate for a holiday to relax in peace, we instantly recognize the signs when a guest arrives carrying the weight of the world.

We see it in the set of a jaw, the tight shoulders, or a hurried tone at check-in.

Nothing feels better than seeing that tension melt away. Within twenty-four hours, the shoulders drop, you can hear the laughter and the smile and a little chat in the yard begins…

It might sound cliché, but that shift is everything. It means Middle Farm is doing exactly what it was meant to do💚

We try our absolute utmost to make every guest stay as relaxing and perfect as possible.

But running 3 holiday cottages has a sense of humour and when something decides to break down, you can almost guarantee it’ll be 4:00 PM on a Sunday! 😅

That’s why having an incredible support team in our corner means everything.

Over the last few years, we’ve poured an enormous amount of work into bringing the place up to scratch. and Nick have practically rewired and replumbed the entire farm from top to bottom. From a full farmyard rewiring including outbuildings, sheds, guest farmshop and laundry to new fuse boards, RCDs, security lighting, complete heating systems, and three brand-new bathrooms (with Daisy’s Place getting its full glow-up this January! 🛁)…. We’ve done alot!

Because we know Matt and Nick so well now and they know every single pipe, wire, and quirk of this 400 year old property inside out, if the unexpected does crop up, it gets sorted fast, properly and with a smile and a lot of banter!

So to all you electricians and plumbers and any trade who go that extra mile to help stranded holiday cottage owners like us when we need it most this is a big fat thank you🥰

Middle Farm isn’t just a business to us, it’s our home and our three lovely cottages are a real labour of love.

Moving to the peaceful Shropshire countryside nearly three years ago was the best thing we’ve ever done and we just love it here!

We often see our guests arrive to the cottages feeling a bit worn out by the daily grind. But give it 24 hours, and the shoulders drop, smiles appear, and the quiet works its charm.

That’s the Middle Farm magic✨ sounds corny I know but we think it’s true!🥰 and we can’t wait to give you the relaxing, well-deserved break you’ve been looking forward to and need!

We often have guests who come and stay in one season, then return to experience another. ☀️🍁🌸❄️

And I think I know why…

The Shropshire Hills seem to reinvent themselves with every season. The colours, the light, the landscape, everything changes so much that it can almost feel like you’ve never been here before.

Spring is probably the season we get asked about most eagerly with the arrival of bluebells and the pretty country lanes enveloped with frilly cow parsley, but if I’m honest, I’m really looking forward to Autumn this year. Cooler days, crisp mornings, a bit of damp in the air and all those gorgeous golds and reds starting to appear. 🍂

There really is something special about every season here though.
