Crazy to think that six years ago, I started work on a little project and nobody haven't heard of anything else since 2021...
Quite alot of things have happened -
- Obviously being back in full time work has put alot of hold on the progress. With the track being complete, that was pretty much it. However, I acquired an O8 shunter and turnt out it couldn't make two of the three curves I have. Being in full time work prevented me from tackling this job properly.
- If you know me on a personal level, I met someone and got married to them, and are looking forward for the next stages in our lives.
Now here comes the good, but the sad news.
We are looking at houses to move into. However due to time restraints and finances. I had decided to sell all my assets to fund for the house. Except for the Simplex, which is still at Thompson Locomotive Engineering. This was not a decision I had taken lightly, as I worked hard throughout lockdown to achieve one of my dreams. But it wasn't meant to be. But if I didn't have time to deal with the quirks and allowing all my stock to rot away in storage. A new home was suitable for them and I'm sure wherever they are now is being used and enjoyed by whoever owns them.
I was debating whether or not to post this the moment I decided to sell the railway, but I feel it's only right to remind people that this page still exists and those who didn't know, now know.
So they say all good things have to come to an end. And I enjoyed this little project, but sometimes opportunities gets in the way.
Thank you to all who have followed, supported and took part in this project. It has been a real pleasure getting to know many people in the railway scene for advice. Who knows what the future may hold. There could be room for Middleton Miniature Railway 2.0 in the new home.
