Herefordshire is the larder of England and we love to promote local producers. We also like to make our guests happy. This is a way for us to do both.
When you book your stay in the boltholes here direct, providing it is three nights or more, you arrive to a basket of local goodies on us.
After all, the last thing you want to do, after a day at work followed by a journey, is to think about cooking.
So, your first night's supper is sorted and you can put your feet up, enjoy a glass of w**e and relax straightaway.

When we first came to Barton Court, there were very few decorative plants here, just grass for practicality and the majestic mature trees that form the structure of the grounds and garden which had been in place for hundreds of years.

Together, Tina and I have created the gardens: I do a fair bit of the planning with her guidance while she does all of the planting. It is a happy collaboration.

We have tried to introduce all year interest with the focus on plants that encourage pollinators.
