🎉 Happy New Year to all our guests who have supported our business and stayed with us both in Grove Farm House Bed and Breakfast, and our holiday cottages, Beech and Chestnut over the past 15 years.

However, after a successful and busy time in the hospitality industry, we have decided that it is time to move on and concentrate on other areas of our working lives, and so with immediate effect we will no longer be taking bookings.

We have absolutely loved meeting so many people from all over the UK and indeed the world and we can certainly call many of them friends. As you can imagine we have many stories to tell and memories to share and we will look back on this time very fondly (and will forget all the years of laundry, cleaning and ironing!).

After a long restoration, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings reopens to the public this Saturday, Sept 10th!

You'll be able to experience the incredible journey of the grandparent of skyscrapers with their new exhibition 'The Mil' and kick back and relax in the Turned Wood Cafe.

Lovely walk up Earl’s Hill, just outside Pontesbury this afternoon with . Very steep climb, but the spectacular views of what seemed to be the whole of Shropshire (and some of Wales too!) made it worth it. Beautiful.

🌸 Shrewsbury Flower Show is on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th August - next weekend!

🛏 And the good news is that Chestnut Cottage has become available so if you fancy a short break to visit the show, please contact me!

⛳️ If you like golf than we are lucky enough to to have Shrewsbury Golf Club on our doorstep and they are very welcoming to visitors.

🏌🏼‍♀️ Both cottages have plenty of room for golf club storage too!

⛳️ We had a lovely 9 holes last night, it was lovely to be out, and the golf wasn’t too bad either!

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings are opening to the public! This is really exciting for Shrewsbury and I, for one, can’t wait to go and have a look around.

After a long restoration, the Maltings will be opening to the public on Saturday 10th September 2022. People will be able to visit an exhibition about the buildings as well as a cafe and shop.

Built in 1797, the Grade I listed Main Mill is the world’s first multi-storey, cast iron-framed building, and is considered 'the grandfather of skyscrapers’.
