Back to Glan conwy renovation
This time a downstairs renovation underway.
I did the upstairs full renovation on this house last year.

This time, the works to be completed will be :

A new kitchen to fit
Lounge to replaster

New oak flooring to match upstairs throughout.

New doors, door frames, architraves and skirting.

New radiators

New fireplace

New sliding patio doors to install.

New front door and new back door,

New kitchen window to fit.

To be continued after my 2 week Easter holiday

All stripped out now, ceiling in lounge boarded ready for skimming 👌

Job underway in Colwyn Bay.
My client contacted me to make what was a room that just had a toilet and basin in, into a fully functional bathroom.
Room is now stripped out. Next the wall with the mirror will be took down, and the wall moved further back to now make this into a new bathroom with a new shower 👍🚿

Gaining space from the hallway behind the wall will give my client the extra space to have a nice modern shower fitted.
Coving, picture rail, dado rail and skirting to be reinstated on the hall side once I’ve built the new stud wall and plastered.

I will be back here after my 2 week Easter holiday to transform this room into a brand new bathroom 👌

🛠️ New kitchen complete in colwyn bay … 🛠️
Existing Fridge / Freezer been fitted by client tomorrow to the left of hob 👍 Painting is going to be done by my client also 👍
My client contacted me wanting a new kitchen fitting.

Originally the job was to strip out the kitchen, then over skim all walls before refitting new kitchen.

However after removal of the kitchen units and tiles it was found all the plaster work to 3 walls required to be stripped back to bare brick, along with taking the ceiling down.
Original lath and plaster ceiling had cracked and sagged across the majority of the kitchen from historic leaks from the bathroom above .

Dot and dab plasterwork above worktops was drawing damp and showing cold spots on the walls.

Below worktops had previously been plastered with bonding 🙄 which created a prime breeding ground for damp and mold to escalate.

The solution:

I have now put up a new ceiling, framed out all the walls, insulated and re plastered
Brand new howdens kitchen now fitted. 🛠️ All new copper pipework and waste pipework installed. New radiator and new flooring.
All done by myself. 🔥👍

Electrical alterations done by Phase Electrical Dom Faux & Mark spitz Hughes.

Job done in Conwy,

My client wanted some simple shelving in a dis-used doorway alcove in their storage room….

So as requested the old doorway was left intact, framing built, then plaster-boarded. ✅

I then plastered it ✅

Finally fitting some plywood shelving to suit their needs. ✅

🔥FLOOR TILING DONE @ COLWYN HEIGHTS🔥

I’ve now tiled the entrance hall for my client.
Welsh slate mat well incorporated, which will have a made to measure mat fitted at later date.

I built and plastered the bespoke cupboard under the spiral staircase back in November. 👍
Hardwood weather bar to be stained to match the door. Decorating works to be done also.

💯% precision perimeter cuts, millimetre perfect 👌👌🔥

All works done by myself personally, I do the lot 👌

Merry Christmas to all my clients, past, present and future. I hope 2026 is a good year for you all. Thankyou for your continued support throughout 2025. Look forward to seeing and working with you all in 2026!

For anyone waiting on estimates to be sent out, this is why, 3 long weeks back at the Cottage Job, working long days late nights to get this cottage to a liveable state for Christmas. Before during and after photos attached. Still work in progress and lot of works to do here next year for my client 👌🔥☘️🎄🎄🎄

This room has been completely rewired by myself. The existing wiring leaves a lot to be desired and I’m stripping it out as I go along, one room at a time. Then eventually once I’ve rewired it I will fit a new consumer unit when I’ve done the other rooms.

This room has also been replumbed with new copper pipe work, rafters treated for woodworm, both gables raked out, repointed in lime. Then walls framed out, insulated, boarded, plastered, new fireplace, old floor dug out, a new insulated concrete floor poured.

Still loads to do to finish this room. Then to dig out the bedroom floor and replace with new concrete floor etc.
Everything you see here I’ve done myself personally. All the Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering, Pointing, Electrical, fireplace, the lot. One man,👍

More plastering to do here this weekend and then a new radiator to fit and pipe up ready for new year celebrations.

🔨 Back to tower lodge this week adjacent to the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Heights 🦍🐼🐒🐘

Tasked with creating a bespoke storage cupboard underneath the spiral staircase in the entrance hallway.
I built the framework, then I plastered it, I fitted downlights inside the newly formed cupboard. Then made and fitted a solid oak door lining and oak architraves. Finished off with 2 old oak doors that my client found in the property many years ago and wanted to put them to use. My client is now going to stain the oak architraves and frame another couple of coats to darken to match the doors and also paint once the plaster has dried out 👍

Back here straight after Christmas to tile the floor in the circular entrance hallway, also the rectangular adjacent hallway, amongst other works here I’ve to complete on my list.
