Look for tenants with a stable income. Stability at work leads to stability at home and the ability to pay the rent in full and on time.
Also, talk to your agent about being a pet friendly property – they are much harder for tenants to find. If a prospective tenant has a dog, for example, or wants to get one, it is likely that they’ll want to stay there for a much longer period of time, which is great for a long term let.
