Sometimes selling a home isn’t just about property. It’s about life changes.

I recently met an elderly lady who has lived in this beautiful 500-year-old home for 45 years. She reached out because her health is slowly declining, and she needs somewhere closer to neighbours and villages.

After so many years, leaving a home full of memories isn’t easy. Add in her two beloved dogs, and moving into assisted living isn’t really an option.

That’s where I step in with my buyer representation service, I find suitable homes, organise viewings, and guide her every step of the way. She just comes with me to see the houses.

Moments like this remind me my job isn’t just selling houses. It’s helping people through big life changes and supporting them when they’re ready for their next chapter.

Sometimes selling a home isn’t just about property. It’s about life changes.

Recently I met an elderly lady who has lived in the same beautiful 500-year-old house for the past 45 years. As you can imagine, a home like that holds decades of memories.

She reached out to me because her health has slowly been declining and her home is quite isolated, far from neighbours and the surrounding villages. Deep down she knows things need to change, but after 45 years in the same place, that’s not an easy decision to make.

Other agents had tried to help her in the past, but it seemed she wasn’t quite ready to leave. And honestly, who could blame her?

Another important part of her life is her two dogs, who are her constant companions. Because of them, moving into assisted living isn’t really an option. Finding a home where she can still live independently and keep her dogs is incredibly important.

She also doesn’t use the internet or a mobile phone, only her landline, which can make the whole property process feel quite overwhelming these days.

That’s where I explained how my buyer representation service could help. Instead of her needing to search online, contact agents and organise everything herself, I can take care of the process for her and simply bring her along to view suitable homes.

So far I’ve found a couple of properties that could work for her and we’re hoping to view them very soon.

Whether she decides to move or not, the most important thing is that she feels supported and able to make the right decision for herself.
