The natural indentations in bark of the burr on this oak, combined with years of moss growth, have formed an interesting feature- a face, complete with eyes, a nose, and even a subtle smile.

🌳Tree Survey Completed in Yeovil, Somerset🌳

We recently carried out a tree condition survey for a property maintenance company managing a car sales site in Yeovil.

The trees along the frontage of the property are protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and needed careful attention to allow for:
🚗 Car stock display
🚶 Pedestrian access
📹 CCTV visibility
💡 Streetlight clearance

To support the planning application, we produced a detailed arborist report with pruning recommendations fully compliant with British Standards.

📄 The report was submitted to the local authority as part of the application to carry out the necessary works.

We recently completed a planning compliant BS5837 Tree Survey as part of a planning application for a domestic customer to assess the impact of the proposed work on the trees on the site.

A Tree Condition Survey was conducted to categorise each tree and group of trees according to their condition. An Arboricultural Impact Assessment and an Arboricultural Method Statement was included in the report as well as a Tree Protection Plan and Tree Constraints Plan.

The survey, report and plans were provided to the client which was then submitted to Dorset Council as part of the planning application.

We are happy to help throughout the planning application process and can discuss specific individual needs with architects and tree officers within the planning department as well.

We can also support you during building work if necessary to ensure all works are carried out according to the Arboricultural Method Statement.

A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) is a legal order made by a local planning authority to protect specific trees or woodlands from being cut down, pruned or damaged without permission.

If you’re concerned about a tree on your property with a TPO, give us a call!

We will arrange for a survey to be carried out and then complete any planning applications for suggested work (if any) to be carried out. We can recommend local, Arboricultural Association approved contractors to carry out work to a high standard.

We can also arrange for surveys to be carried out on trees with TPOs that may be at risk from building developments or extensions.
