wetroom completed recently 🚿✨

This one had a serious amount of preparation work go into it, with systems used throughout to make sure it’s built to last, not just finished nicely on the surface.

The ceiling was battened out to get everything 100% plumb and level, insulated with rolled insulation, then upgraded further with 20mm XPS insulation boards, before being plasterboarded with 12.5mm plasterboard and skimmed for a clean finish.

The wetroom itself was fully prepared using Jackoboard construction boards, with the AKW former scuffed back and tied into the BAL waterproofing/tanking system, giving the room the protection and longevity it deserves.

Some of the features on this project include:

✅ Fully mitred tiled window reveal
✅ Epoxy grout throughout
✅ High R-rated anti-slip floor tiles
✅ Envelope cuts falling neatly into the centred drain
✅ Tinted glass wetroom screen
✅ Easy-use shower mixer
✅ Comfort-height WC
✅ Compact basin
✅ LED mirrored cabinet
✅ Large towel radiator
✅ Wireless temperature-controlled heater/cooler
✅ Fully insulated, boarded and skimmed ceiling

Really pleased with how this one turned out. A clean, practical and long-lasting wetroom, with the important work done properly behind the scenes

FULL BATHROOM TRANSFORMATION 🔥

This one turned into a proper job from the off…

Started as a standard rip out and ended up finding multiple bathrooms built on top of each other 😅
Everything had to come right back to brick and joists so it could be done properly.

Floor was miles out as well — around 40mm out of level across the room. No chance of working off that, so it all got corrected and brought back true before anything else even started.

Joists were sistered and strengthened, new chipboard down throughout, and the whole room battened out and set plumb using lasers so everything lines through properly.

Ceiling was rebuilt as well before boarding.

All the plumbing was completely redone — new 3 storey soil stack outside, fresh waste runs for every appliance, and a full hot and cold re-plumb. Everything routed properly and kept as clean as possible.

Also fitted new spotlights and a 6” extractor fan so the room actually performs as it should, not just looks good.

Prep on this one was key.

Jackoboard used in all wet areas, fully waterproofed, and the floor prepped properly with primer and a decoupling membrane before tiling.
It’s the sort of stuff you don’t see at the end, but it’s what makes it last.

Finished it off with a clean 3 tile setup, dado rail running through with mitred returns, and wrapped the window in mitres as well which came out tidy 👌

Niche set out to line through with the tiles, all installed with a levelling system to keep everything flat.

Walk in shower tray, freestanding bath, 800 unit, high level WC, and a custom window sill with a built in cupboard underneath to make use of the space.

Also carried everything through outside with the new stack tied into the drainage properly so the whole system works as it should.

End of the day, this is why prep matters.

Most would’ve tiled straight over what was there…
We took it right back, sorted it properly, and built it back up the way it should be done.

Follow up from the other days post… 👇

This is what was going on before the finished photos.

This one needed some serious prep. Full rip out, drainage all redone and run out properly, floor built back up and levelled, walls sorted… Then fully waterproofed from the ground up.

Not the glamorous part, but easily the most important.

It’s all the stuff you’ll never see once it’s finished…
but it’s the reason it turns out right and stays that way.

That’s the difference between a quick bathroom… and one built to last ✅

11/04/2026

This is the bit no one really sees 👇

Getting everything running spot on before anything’s finished…
Mitres lining through and walls bang on level.

That 0.0° isn’t by chance, just taking the time to get it right 👌

I’ll show the prep behind this bathroom in tomorrow’s post 👀

Apologies for the radio silence to start the year, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes with some big things in the pipeline for future growth 👀

And… be ready, a full rebrand and name change is finally on its way to this platform 🔥

Now back to it…

This one was a full transformation over in Ammanford, turning a tight, awkward under-stairs space into a clean, modern and fully functional bathroom.

A key feature on this job was the bespoke cupboard built into the under-stairs void, making the most of the space while keeping everything looking sharp and minimal.

But this one wasn’t just about the finish…

We carried out a full drainage re-route, installing approximately 10 metres of new pipework, running from the concealed WC within the bathroom all the way out to the existing clay soil system externally, allowing us to completely redesign the layout.

The finished space includes:
• Fully waterproofed wetroom floor with integrated drainage system
• 1700mm bath with a clean L-shape mitred tile finish, tying seamlessly into the space
• 900x900 porcelain tiles (Tiles/slabs – 14mm) throughout
• All external corners finished with epoxy mitred edges
• Recessed niche detail to complement the layout
• Wall-hung basin for a clean, open feel
• Concealed floating WC with hidden services
• Carefully planned layout to maximise every bit of space

Bathrooms like this aren’t about rushing, they’re about getting the system right from the ground up.

More to come this year… 👀

This was one of our final projects of the year 🎄

A calm, timeless bathroom finished just in time for Christmas.

As we wind down for the festive break, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s trusted us with their homes this year.

It’s been a brilliant one. 🎄🎉

Remember this post?
“Not pretty. Not quick. But absolutely essential.”

This is what all of that unseen work leads to.

What you’re looking at here is the finished result of that preparation phase, where rebuilt floors, corrected drainage routes, and fully boarded & sealed walls turn into a bathroom that doesn’t just look good on day one… but performs properly for years to come.

A few details worth highlighting 👇
• Full metro-tiled bath panel with two discreet access hatches, allowing future access without compromising the finish
• Custom timber feature wall, oiled and sealed with Ronseal to protect against moisture while keeping a warm, natural look
• Carefully considered tile layout, working within existing structural constraints, resulting in clean junctions and balanced proportions throughout, nothing rushed, nothing accidental.

This is exactly why we show the prep stages. Because the finish only works when what’s behind it has been done right.

As we head into Christmas, it’s a good moment to reflect. Huge thanks to everyone who’s trusted us with their homes this year 😊

After many years, a new chapter is coming.
Same values. Same standards.
A refined name and brand, built with the future in mind, allowing us to grow, evolve, and build a bigger, better team without compromising on quality.

More on that soon 👀✨

Merry Christmas🎄

Not pretty. Not quick. But absolutely essential.

Here’s a look at some recent bathroom preparation works.
• One from a recently completed project
• One from the final bathroom of the year, due to be revealed next week 🥳

This is the stage most people never see…
but it’s the stage that decides whether a bathroom lasts years or decades.

Rebuilt and strengthened floors.
Corrected drainage routes.
Fully boarded and sealed walls.
Everything set out dead straight and built ready for finish.

No shortcuts. No rushed installs.
Just solid preparation before the nice bits go on.

Final reveal coming very soon 👀🚿

This project is a perfect example of why we don’t offer “quick bathrooms”.

It started life as a bedroom, with no clear drainage routes, no services, and no obvious way to make it work, earlier attempts not by us fell short until it was approached properly 💭

What’s now in place is a fully stripped-back, re-engineered and finished en-suite, completed properly, in the correct order, with no shortcuts hidden behind tiles.

A bathroom isn’t just fittings and tiles.
It’s structure, pipework, electrics, waterproofing and layout all working together as a system.

We take the time to get every stage right, because the finish only matters if everything beneath it is built to last.

Clean lines, solid structure, full waterproofing and a layout that actually works, this one’s built for longevity, not speed.

Prep and build-up photos coming next 👀

Here’s a bathroom I’ve just completed for Rebecca & Lee, a full rip-out rebuilt from the ground up, with every part done the right way, not the quick way.

It’s not one of our usual bright-lights, glossy showroom transformations, but this project is all about solid, practical, bombproof workmanship. A clean, simple, long-lasting bathroom built to take real life, every day, for years to come.

🔧 Prep Work (The Part No One Sees… but Matters Most)

Before any tiles went on, the room had a full rebuild:
• Complete strip-out back to bare walls
• Floor strengthened and new chipboard screwed
• All cracks repaired
• Primed with Mapei Primer G (multiple coats)
• Full fibre reinforced screed laid to give the floor a perfect, solid, flat base
• Entire floor wrapped in Schlüter-style decoupling membrane
• Wet areas waterproofed using BAL Waterproof 1C
• Shower tray installed dead level and fully sealed in

All this prep makes sure the room lasts for years without movement, leaks or cracks.

🪨 Tiling — Big Tiles, Perfect Finish
• Large stone-effect tiles floor-to-ceiling
• Laser lines used throughout
• Tile layout planned so cuts are minimal and balanced
• Mitred corners on the boxing (no plastic trims)
• Tile pattern wrapped perfectly around the room
• Premium levelling system used for crisp joints
• Full clean grouting for a sharp final look

This is the sort of tiling that makes the room look and feel high end.

🚽 New Custom Soil-Stack Boxing
• Built new, solid boxing around the soil pipe
• Fully tiled with matching mitre work
• Toilet aligned perfectly square to the room
• Pan connector lined up dead on

That little tiled step really finishes the space neatly.

🧰 Full Fitted Furniture Wall

Rebecca chose a full run of fitted furniture, and it came out mint:
• Tall units, base units and drawers fitted level & flush
• Worktop scribed and fitted perfectly
• Mirror cabinet installed and centred
• All plumbing hidden behind units
• Fresh white plinth line for a seamless finish

Loads of storage, super clean look, and easy to keep tidy.

🚿 Shower Area
• Large 1500mm tray fitted & sealed
• Fixed 1400mm glass panel installed just below the sloped ceiling
• Overhead rainfall shower + handheld shower installed
• All silicone lines smooth and straight

Simple, modern and clean.

🔥 Heating & Final Fixes
• New towel radiator fitted
• Basin, tap & waste installed
• All pipework tested
• Final silicone work around floors, tray and units
• Full clean-down and polish

✨ The Final Look

What was a tired, awkward bathroom is now:

✔ Modern
✔ Bright
✔ Waterproofed properly
✔️ epoxy grout
✔️ mitre corners
✔ Fully tiled
✔ Packed with storage
✔ Built to last

Every corner, mitre, line and joint done with care, exactly how a bathroom should be built.
