A man in Pontypridd has been spotted staring intensely at a £1.70 Greggs chicken roll, reportedly weighing up whether to buy it or put the money towards a litre of diesel.

“It’s Not an Easy Choice”

Witnesses say the man stood in silence for several minutes, carefully considering his options.

“That’s at least a bit of fuel… or lunch,” he was heard saying.

Experts confirm £1.70 now represents:

One Greggs chicken roll
Roughly a splash of diesel
Or “financial regret either way”

Other customers in the queue showed support:

“You’ve got to treat yourself sometimes… but also, you’ve got to get home.”

Another added:

“Get the roll now, worry about fuel later.”

After a tense moment, the man reportedly chose the chicken roll, with sources confirming:

“He’ll deal with the consequences later.”

Financial experts say more people may soon face similar decisions as prices continue to rise, with one warning:

“This could be the new cost-of-living dilemma.”
