Two miles from the coast in a tranquil valley with a woodland fenced garden. Hansel Cottage is the perfect self catering option for large families and groups of friends to relax in rural tranquillity while still being within a few minutes drive of the nearest beach. Hansel is well located to explore all that South Devon has to offer. Mid way between the sailing meccas of Dartmouth and Salcombe, 15 minutes from the ‘Blue Flag’ Blackpool Sands beach and within 30 minutes drive of many sandy beaches, close to the South West Coast path and within an easy drive of Dartmoor, numerous children’s attractions and outdoor activities, there is something for everyone nearby. Nearby Slapton and Strete have three well regarded pubs between them. Slightly further afield Torcross, Beesands, Stokenham Kingsbridge and Dartmouth have numerous highly recommended pubs and restaurants to suit all age groups and budgets. The cottage has recently been renovated in a modern country style. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is plenty of space for larger family or friend groups - sleeping eight people - with three main reception rooms and a generous farmhouse style kitchen. The former pigsty now provides a utility room with wetsuit drying area and a space for table tennis. There is also a pool table in the the large sitting room. Outside there is a lovely 3/4 acre garden with magnificent views over the valley. Multiple well behaved dogs are welcome and the garden is fully fenced. We prefer dogs not to go into the bedrooms or on the furniture but if they are used to this at home we request that you bring your own clean throws to protect our furniture and linen.
