Some places are just part of the fabric of a town. Alf’s is one of them. ☕
Café Alf Resco has been a Dartmouth institution since 1994… over 30 years of brilliant breakfasts, freshly baked pastries, and expertly crafted coffee, open from 7am every single day on Lower Street.
The full Alf’s breakfast, famous homemade granola, seasonal lunch specials, sweet treats, and a fully licensed bar serving local ales, Dartmouth Gin, Devon Red C***r, and Salcombe Brewery la**rs. All ingredients sourced locally wherever possible, all food freshly made.
Owner Andy Green has kept everything that made Alf’s special: the community spirit, the shared tables, the warm welcome for everyone from the sailing fraternity to families and solo travellers, while writing his own chapter. Including launching Alf’s Run Club for those who like to earn their breakfast.
And this Wednesday, Andy opens the doors on something brand new: Knead Peace, a bakery and cookery school on Flavel Place. Go and show some love on opening day. 🍞
