We are looking to find more reliable and responsible self-employed contractors and handymen to work with, in order to cover the general maintenance and repairs that arise from our managed portfolio.

This work would include painting, decorating, fence repairs, tiling, basic plumbing, kitchen and bathroom fitting, plastering, strimming and mowing lawns and the occasional house clearance.

* There is a strong emphasis on “reliable and responsible”

* They must have valid public liability insurance

* They must live locally (we’ve tried contractors from out of the area, never again)

* If they accept a job, they must actually do it!

Unlike many agents, we do actually pay their invoices on time without having to be chased, as existing contractors will verify.

“Something for the weekend, sir?”

We’re not great fans of AI and very much agree with this - so many agents are trying to automate tenant management and the feedback we’ve had is that it is painfully slow and often ends with the wrong result, especially with repairs and maintenance.

So there’s no AI customer service here - ring the office number or a staff mobile and you’ll get through to a real human who can actually help you.
