Property description
The Old Ale House Cottage is a spacious period property located in ‘The Square’ in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of Moreton Pinkney, offering excellent and flexible accommodation.
If you adore character and charm and are seeking an opportunity to live in a gorgeous rural village, then this enchanting property could well be for you.

You enter 'The Old Ale House ' via the front door into the entrance hallway.

Immediately you enter into spacious living and Dining area both boasting exposed beams and many other original features.

The lounge area has a log burning stove as its focus, which is used regularly by the current owners.
The cosy dining room area, benefits from lots of natural light and a pleasant view to the garden.
At the back of this room is the utility room which currently houses the washing machine and the tumble dryer with a small sink with a second rear door leading to a very pretty private garden.

Upstairs first floor you will discover the kitchen with electric double oven and hob, dishwasher and space for a fridge freezer.
The bathroom is also on this floor with a large shower area
The second floor has two double bedrooms

For a very old property, the bedroom ceiling heights are remarkably generous, whilst all of the rooms retain the quaint features of solid but uneven walls that are the hallmark of properties of this age.

The external areas of The Old Ale house are in keeping with the internal, exuding character and quaintness with a pretty and secluded garden

For those of you not familiar with the village of Moreton Pinkney, it is a very picturesque village with the origins dating back to at least 1086 when it was recorded in the Domesday book.

It has definitely changed a little since then and who better to explain what a fabulous place it is to live, than the current owners of The Old Dairy:

''We have loved living in Moreton Pinkney, the village is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks but also with all amenities close at hand.

There is a wonderful community spirit with plenty of clubs and organisations to join if you wish – it even has its own website - yet the people of Moreton Pinkney are not "cliquey" but are genuine and helpful and look out for one another.

There are several good pubs in the area - The Crown at Western and The Red Lion in Culworth are close by offering excellent food and atmosphere and it is hoped that the 'Four Candles' in Moreton Pinkney will reopen soon!
The village enjoys weekly visits from Mumford’s Butches Van with fresh fruit, vegetables, Meats and pies the pizza company and the fish and chip van also visit on a regular basis..

Culworth primary school is brilliant which all 3 of our children went to followed by the excellent Chenderit secondary school in Middleton Cheney, which provides a coach for pick up and drop off to the village.
