Lots and lots going on behind the scenes!!

We have several ideas, that we are nearly ready to share with you in a public consultation!

Your feedback will help shape the final designs/layout for the planning application.

Work continues on our planning application.

Today was infiltration testing, which forms the drainage strategy.

These are 7 options that have been submitted to Yorkshire Dales National Park and Westmorland and Furness Council for pre planning advice.

Once we get the advice, we will then look to consult the community before deciding the final layout and design, which will be submitted in a full planning application.

HOUSING UPDATE

A number of months ago Dent Community Housing was approached by the Church of England.
The church were exploring possibilities of developing the land next to Glebe Fold, into affordable, local occupancy housing.

In order to achieve this, they would need to access Home England funding.
To be successful at securing funding, the project needs to be ‘community led’.

This is where we come in!!!
We have secured nearly £80,000 of funding to submit a planning application.
We have now got initial layout concepts, which will be submitted for preplanning advice.

There will be public engagement sessions coming up for local residents to comment on the layout and design of the housing.

Residents of Dentdale you will have or soon will receive a paper copy of the updated housing needs survey.

It’s really important even if you have previously filled one out, that you complete this new form.
