Sometimes…”doing difficult” is worth it 😅.
Amongst the projects I’m looking at is the opportunity to help with regeneration in a small way and bring empty buildings back to life.
The mantra quoted often is “figures over feelings” which makes sense - but I also believe a sprinkling of passion ( or maybe a lot! 😂) is needed to help see it through.
This project will see some lovely buildings in a place I care about brought back into use in a respectful way and give them longevity.
The alternative is that these will simply stay empty and deteriorate and over time the figures will simply say that saving these will be unviable 💔
This won’t be the most straightforward - there’s heritage elements, planning, and many more challenges to navigate - which may mean this never comes to pass - but if it does - it will be worth it.
With every challenge and obstacle there’s learning.
I’m working with a great team - Martin Harvey (Martin Patrick Harvey ) Mike Cano ( Paragon Architecture & Construction ), Adam and Sammie Wale ( Adam & Sammie Wale | Interior design, HMO staging, Show homes ) but will need support from others to get this one over the line.
